Go for the GOLD....

My how time flies!  I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post.  Jubilee has been very busy this month.  Our new catalog has mailed, new product has arrived, and Winter shows are all complete.....feels good!  As for the staff:  Nancy is on her third hair color this year (color of the month we call her), Wyatt is steadily updating us on free lunch specials, Coley is our official "Charles in charge", Cary is crunching numbers and cutting coupons (his specialty....dare I admit he has his very own coupon drawer), I took up basketball, lasted three minutes, ruptured my ACL and tore my meniscus (yes....I am retired).  On a special note Margaret's daughter Kristy was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  Please keep Margaret and her family in your thoughts and prayers.  Things currently seem to be under control and a plan is in place....we will keep you posted on the situation and ask that you join us in lifting her family up.

On to accessories!  This week I'm posting pictures of everything gold.  Why, because we are celebrating the 2010 Winter Olympics.  I thought we'd help you go for the gold:)  Enjoy, Jenny

Meet Wyatt Washington....

Jubilee Collection warehouse manager extraordinaire! You see the beauty of Wyatt is he isn't just a warehouse manager. He is a 46 year old single, humorous, intelligent, hardworking therapist:) Therapist you ask? Well he does eat lunch with a table full of women everyday. He listens, he smiles, he laughs, and he acts like we're normal. Isn't that what therapy is all about? In actuality Wyatt is a former electrician (comes in handy at a lighting company), one of ten children (insight into his patience), huge Dallas Cowboys fan (Cary forgives him), never misses opening day for the Rangers (says it is April 5, 1:00pm eastern time), and (drum roll please) sings a medley of different songs daily. American Idol material....probably not by Simons standards, but we enjoy it! Wyatt is a vital part of Jubilee Collection, we appreciate everything he does, he brings a smile to work daily.....thank you Wyatt Washington! Till next time, Jenny

Enjoy the pictures...Wyatt is the very handsome man on the right standing with his sidekick Melvin.  The others are Nancy's recent organization hard at work and a daily shipment of boxes preparing to go out.

Mystery solved.....

I hope everyone is off to a fabulous 2010!  It has been VERY busy around Jubilee.  Our new catalog is in and it is gorgeous....a big thank you to Coley:)  We completed our first show of the new year in Atlanta and it was a huge success, Dallas starts this week and we are anticipating a great turnout.  Speaking of Dallas.... when packing for the two shows we noticed something was missing.  For those of you not familiar with the process, for each trade show we send a full set of samples.  Samples are not always merchandise currently in stock, so these samples are PRECIOUS (we can't lose them)!  Well this time we were sending a lot of new product, knobs, magnets, lamp bases, sconces, shades, magnet boards, hooks and alphabet letters (all 26 of them).  When setting up for Dallas something was missing, eight alphabet letters...E, S, O, K, L, T, R, C!  Where in the world could they be, we had them all when the shipment arrived, and letters don't just walk away.  So phone calls in, phone calls out, scavenger hunt in the warehouse, check the trunks of our cars, under our desks, in the closets, periodically accuse each other and then something dawns on me:)  Remember my nine year old Mackenzie's new FUNKY room?  Well check out the attached pic and see if you can figure it out.   Yes folks I stole the letters from the letter box.... whoops!  Well that's it for now, have a great day and please come check out the new product.... we love feedback.  Picture one is the new catalog cover (some color variation, there is no peach) and picture two is, well you know.  Enjoy, Jenny

A day in the life of Rocky the office dog!

If you refer to earlier posts, in the very beginning I introduced you to Rocky the office dog.  I also mentioned that Cary and he aren't particulary close. (If dogs had litter boxes his would be Cary's office, and for those of you that know Cary....it doesn't go over well!)  I mention this because I want to clarify Cary DID NOT place the bag on Rocky's head, he might of considered leaving it for a very brief moment, but Rocky got himself in this predicament all by himself.  You see there is a theme behind Rocky's pictures....food.  The first post he is guarding a chicken bone and here he was scouring the trash for scraps.  I personally find this quite amusing considering he is all of 3lbs.  All this being said, Rocky has seperation anxiety so he wasn't in the bag for more then a second before he was rescued.  After cleaning off his tennis ball size head and feeding him a marshmellow all was well!  Enjoy,  Jenny

Everybody needs a wall hook, or two, or three...you get my point!

If you are like me having wall hooks in your house is as necessary as having beds, towels and food!  Where else do we hang coats, backpacks, towels, robes and those ever famous sports medals?  Often times Jubilee's new product additions stem from my household requests.....did I mention I love the power:)  Well, apparently this year I have been yearning for hooks!  So......hooks it is.  I'm attaching some pics of several of our new additions.  This is just a sampling of the new designs and colors.  Where are they already in my house you ask, well let's see....Mackenzie's bedroom, bathroom and my mudroom.  What next?  Happy Thursday,  Jenny

Add a little cheer to your lampshades and brighten up your holiday!

We all have a little left over Christmas ribbon, some extra ornaments and a lampshade don't we?  Well put them to good use and don't leave those lampshades and chandeliers untouched during the holidays.  Lighting sets the mood in your home or office, it brings warmth to a room during those cold winter months....so what better way to welcome in the holidays then by decorating your lampshades.  Here are just a couple examples of what we mean.  Happy Holidays and stay warm!  Jenny

Take a walk on the wild side!

I may be getting ready to date myself, but here goes!  We all know the song by Donny Osmond A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY, A LITTLE BIT ROCK 'N ROLL right?  Well that is how I feel about Jubilee.   Jubilee is A LITTLE BIT SHABBY CHIC, A LITTLE BIT FUNKY TOO!  (corny....I know)   It's Friday, so I felt it appropriate to give you a little peek at our wild side.  Just a couple more of the wonderful items coming soon.  Have a great weekend!  Jenny

From ordinary to extraordinary....magnet magic!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving...the Jubilee staff sure did!  I wanted to show you a little something fun to do with magnets (a new addition to the Jubilee line). Magnets can be used in so many different ways but one of my favorites is how they help transform an ordinary chandelier into something extraordinary!  Checkout the before and after photos....just imagine the possibilities!  Until next time:)  Jenny
