Happy Holidays from Rocky the office dog.....

Lot's of people have inquired about Rocky the office dog and what he's up to these days.  He's a little tired from all the decorating he's been doing so right now he's sleeping soundly in his bed:)  As I'm typing Cary is reading over my shoulder and just asked me if Rocky "decorating" is code for "potty"....only he didn't use the term "potty"!  Rocky's favorite place to relieve himself on a cold Winter day is Cary's office.....doesn't go over well at all!!  If Rocky's not careful Cary may pack him up and send him FedEx as a X-mas gift to our best customer;)  I'm waiting for Cary to suggest we use him as our next free giveaway.  I think Rocky is safe... Nancy has threatened to remove her services if we remove her dog.  People say she reminds them of Shirley McClaine why?  Till next time, Jenny

$5 sono frames.....soooooo much fun!

I sure hope you all are enjoying my finds, because right about now I think I'm driving the warehouse guys crazy!!  How about these $5 sonogram frames?  Actually they are sized to fit a sonogram picture but the cute sayings could be used for regular pictures too.  "Cutie Pie", "Bless This Child", "Hello Handsome", can be used for any age kiddo:)  Or just imagine announcing a pregnancy to family with a sono picture in a "Hello Grandma" frame....too fun!  Load up, because once these are gone $5 frames will be a thing of the past.  Any other ideas of what you'd like to see on special?  Send it my way, you never know.....I'm feeling generous this holiday season:)  Til next time, Jenny

I'm loving the response to the Holiday specials!  This one I dug hard for!  Wyatt and I scoured the warehouse, scaled the rafters, dove in the peanuts, ripped open boxes and walla....we found "10" of a pink and white chandelier never before seen!  It's never been to a show, never been on the website, and never been in the catalog (poor chandelier), and never will be, because this is it!  Can't you just imagine this in a nursery or a big girl room.  Imagine the possibilities with all the different shade options.  When it comes to girls and chandeliers, you can't go wrong with pink!  Off I go, back to digging.....can't wait to see what we come up with next:)

What a difference a shade makes....

Sometimes when you see things day in, day out, all day long you forget what others don't see.  One of the hardest things for Jubilee Collection to show you is how very different lighting can look by just switching the shades.  There are hundreds of different combinations, the picture above is such a small example.  Have some fun and vary the look!  Change your shades out according to your mood, the season, holidays or your decor.  You don't have to spend a fortune changing out a dated light fixture....what a difference a shade makes!  Happy Fall....until next time, Jenny

Introducing Jubilee Collections youngest new designer.....

Mackenzie with her new line Puzzlelicious!  Puzzlelicious is a fabulous new line designed by 10 year old Mackenzie Brabham.  Mackenzie has worked all Summer long fine tuning her wonderful new line and we think you 'll love it as much as we do.  Puzzlelicious is a jewelry and accessory line featuring magnets, necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and barrettes.  It's fun, colorful, unique and her test mark of tweeners  LOVED it!  A little background on how Puzzlelicious came to be; Mackenzie had approached Cary and I multiple times with different ideas, I guess when you live with entrepreneurs you grow up to be one!  One day while working a puzzle she discovered pieces were missing.  She asked me what to do with it and I replied "throw it away I guess".  Not 15 minutes later I walked in on Mackenzie gluing puzzle pieces together and Puzzlelicious was born.  For pricing or order information you can contact Mackenzie at puzzlelicious@gmail.com. Puzzlelicious will be showing at the ABC show in Las Vegas and is currently available to fill both wholesale and retail orders.  Inventory is ready and waiting so be the first to bring this wonderful new line into your store or home.  Please excuse the picture quality...not the best but good enough for a sneak peek.  Today is just one of those days where good enough will have to do!  I hope everyone had a fabulous Summer.  We did :)  Be back sooner rather then later, Jenny

A visit to China...

I can't believe it is Summer....where has the year gone?  Jubilee has so many new items in the loop, we can't wait to introduce them!  Not only is the lighting line expanding, but we will be bringing in a lot of fabulous new accessories.  Definitely be on the look out.

As for what we've been up to...Cary just got back from a week long trip to China checking on our product.  Oh how I wish I could have been a fly on the wall.  Those of you that know Cary know he is a good 'ole East Texas boy, China has never been on his radar.  Meat and potatoes are his meal of choice.  You'll notice I've attached a couple of pictures of beetles before they were cooked and after.  These beetles were lunch one day!  Along with a fine selection of snake, stingray and an assortment of live fish.  Even better, my dear husband got to visit a Karaoke bar (a common business tradition in China).  Of course the guest is always required to sing.  What did he entertain them with you ask?  A little Lady GaGa with an East Texas twang:)  He finally returned home yesterday bearing gifts.  The kids got candy, foreign coins and Mackenzie a doll.  My gift was a beautiful David Yurman sterling silver and gold heart necklace:)  He was so excited to give it to me.  I knew the minute I held it up there was a little something different about it.....remember Chinese women are VERY petite.  My beautiful necklace was sautered on a 12" chain and when latched the heart was mounted on my adams apple:)  I couldn't chuckle or I would have busted the chain...oh how I LOVE him!  Off to the jewelers to fix that!  Just a couple of fun stories about the joy and excitement Jubilee brings to our lives.  Until next time.....

Sneak peek.....

Wow has it been busy here at Jubilee Collection....always a good thing!  Before I update you on the business,  a little personal news.  Margaret's daughter Kristy is doing well.  She is moving forward with her treatment and spirits are high.  Margaret will be out of the office for several months helping Kristy...we miss her dearly and are keeping she and her family in our thoughts and prayers.  Coley just returned from a week working the Shell Houston Open (her annual charity event), I got my ACL/Meniscus surgery Tuesday, Nancy is busy remodeling her home and designing away....Cary, well we'll see by the end of next week (he may be loosing his mind:)  Oh, and Rocky....it depends on who you ask!  Nancy will tell you he is wonderful, quiet and housebroken.  Cary will tell you he is vicious, a barker and relieves himself in Cary's office!  The postman, well he won't come through the front door!  That being said, I puppy sat Rocky last week and he actually let me touch him....milestones:)

As for the sneak peek....I thought it would be fun to give you a look at the designing process and some new product coming this year.  Excuse the pics, quality and angles, but I can't give away too much.  The bunny chandelier is my favorite,  the letters and ribbon will be used in something new to the line, just wait it's our best product ever!!  Some really fabulous stuff to come.

Oh, and please leave feedback we always love to hear from you.  Happy Easter....Spring is here!  Till next time, Jenny

Go for the GOLD....

My how time flies!  I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post.  Jubilee has been very busy this month.  Our new catalog has mailed, new product has arrived, and Winter shows are all complete.....feels good!  As for the staff:  Nancy is on her third hair color this year (color of the month we call her), Wyatt is steadily updating us on free lunch specials, Coley is our official "Charles in charge", Cary is crunching numbers and cutting coupons (his specialty....dare I admit he has his very own coupon drawer), I took up basketball, lasted three minutes, ruptured my ACL and tore my meniscus (yes....I am retired).  On a special note Margaret's daughter Kristy was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  Please keep Margaret and her family in your thoughts and prayers.  Things currently seem to be under control and a plan is in place....we will keep you posted on the situation and ask that you join us in lifting her family up.

On to accessories!  This week I'm posting pictures of everything gold.  Why, because we are celebrating the 2010 Winter Olympics.  I thought we'd help you go for the gold:)  Enjoy, Jenny

Meet Wyatt Washington....

Jubilee Collection warehouse manager extraordinaire! You see the beauty of Wyatt is he isn't just a warehouse manager. He is a 46 year old single, humorous, intelligent, hardworking therapist:) Therapist you ask? Well he does eat lunch with a table full of women everyday. He listens, he smiles, he laughs, and he acts like we're normal. Isn't that what therapy is all about? In actuality Wyatt is a former electrician (comes in handy at a lighting company), one of ten children (insight into his patience), huge Dallas Cowboys fan (Cary forgives him), never misses opening day for the Rangers (says it is April 5, 1:00pm eastern time), and (drum roll please) sings a medley of different songs daily. American Idol material....probably not by Simons standards, but we enjoy it! Wyatt is a vital part of Jubilee Collection, we appreciate everything he does, he brings a smile to work daily.....thank you Wyatt Washington! Till next time, Jenny

Enjoy the pictures...Wyatt is the very handsome man on the right standing with his sidekick Melvin.  The others are Nancy's recent organization hard at work and a daily shipment of boxes preparing to go out.

Mystery solved.....

I hope everyone is off to a fabulous 2010!  It has been VERY busy around Jubilee.  Our new catalog is in and it is gorgeous....a big thank you to Coley:)  We completed our first show of the new year in Atlanta and it was a huge success, Dallas starts this week and we are anticipating a great turnout.  Speaking of Dallas.... when packing for the two shows we noticed something was missing.  For those of you not familiar with the process, for each trade show we send a full set of samples.  Samples are not always merchandise currently in stock, so these samples are PRECIOUS (we can't lose them)!  Well this time we were sending a lot of new product, knobs, magnets, lamp bases, sconces, shades, magnet boards, hooks and alphabet letters (all 26 of them).  When setting up for Dallas something was missing, eight alphabet letters...E, S, O, K, L, T, R, C!  Where in the world could they be, we had them all when the shipment arrived, and letters don't just walk away.  So phone calls in, phone calls out, scavenger hunt in the warehouse, check the trunks of our cars, under our desks, in the closets, periodically accuse each other and then something dawns on me:)  Remember my nine year old Mackenzie's new FUNKY room?  Well check out the attached pic and see if you can figure it out.   Yes folks I stole the letters from the letter box.... whoops!  Well that's it for now, have a great day and please come check out the new product.... we love feedback.  Picture one is the new catalog cover (some color variation, there is no peach) and picture two is, well you know.  Enjoy, Jenny
